Basic Info BioI am an english teacher, living in Japan. Currently I live in Nagano prefecture but I lived in Okayama until June 2007. I first visited Japan in 2006 when I came and completed the 88 Temple Pilgrimage in Shikoku. In 2007 I completed the (much smaller) 88 Temple Pilgrimage on Shodoshima an island in Seto Inland Sea, close to both Shikoku and Okayama. I intend to post a guide to the Shodoshima route so that other non-japanese speakers can enjoy this unique experience. I don't have any "official" role in doing this - I just want to encourage others to see a little of (almost) hidden Japan and to discover the joys of hiking and / or (buddhist) pilgrimage.
I have hiked all over the world and have completed the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain and the Appalchian Trail in the USA.
